I led them through the concept of moral reasoning (as I understood this from my readings of C S Lewis and other similar sources) to the basics of virtue and then on to relevant ethical concepts. UK has a serious deficit in its education. Few in the West, especially in Britain, have any understanding of Islam, the greatest threat it faces. The Woke left and Labour don't 'Do God' in the words of Alastair Campbell so they cannot understand the strength of will of Islamists. Starmer's gang is riddled with Fabians who believe the nation states should be replaced by a socialist world order ruled by people like Starmer, Hermer and Rachel Reeves. These ignorami have seen fit to protect and privilege Islam alone among the world's religions. Starmer's Gang is a doormat for Islamist entry into and domination of Britain. The Left-Islamist alliance is based on nothing more than a shared hatred of Britain's history and foundations in Christianity - and to a lesser extent Judaism. They know what they hate and want to tear it down. The Left supress freedom of expression to this end. At an appropriate time the Islamists will, as they did in Iran in 1979, dispose of their Left wing allies and impose a caliphate.
Where are the virtues and their helpers in Islam? The Koran is quite clear in its commands to the Muslim faithful to enact violence against Christians and Jews. Yet Australia's PM, Albanese, anothe Lefty like Starmer, says, whilst being unable to cite any, that the Christian Bible contains similar verses to these:
“Fight those among the People of the Book [Christians and Jews] who do not believe in Allah or the Last Day, nor forbid what Allah and His Messenger have forbidden, nor embrace the religion of truth, until they pay jizya with willing submission and feel themselves subdued.” (Koran 9:29)
As Raymond Ibrahim explains in Sword and Scimitar, this means that the three options for Christians and Jews are:
1) Convert to Islam, or
2) Die fighting in your defence, or
3) Pay extortion money and accept an inferior position as dhimmis in Muslim society.
Starmer has chosen option 3.
The Koran’s hostility and commands to violence:
3:28 "Muslims must not take the infidels as friends."
3:85 "Any religion other than Islam is not acceptable."
5:33 "Maim and crucify the infidels if they criticise Islam."
8:12 "Terrorise and behead those who believe in scriptures other than the Koran."
8:65 "The unbelievers are stupid; urge the Muslims to fight them."
9:5 "When opportunity arises, kill the infidels wherever you find them."
9:30 "The Jews and Christians are perverts, fight them."
9:123 "Make war on the infidels living in your neighbourhood."
22:19 "Punish the unbelievers with garments of fire, hooked iron rods, boiling water, melt their skin and bellies."
47:4 "Do not hanker for peace with the infidels; behead them when you catch them."
Your opening sentences brought to mind the late Bernard Levin who was famous for his long sentences. He rose to a challenge and completed an entire leader in The Times in one sentence, like yours it was perfectly lucid.
